Getting Set Up - Your Personal & Act Profile

Modified on Tue, 16 Jan at 9:42 PM

Hot Giggity provides entertainers with a platform that offers time-saving tools, enabling everyone to have a presence on the platform. Whether you're an instrumentalist performing in other people's bands or a freelance entertainer, you can benefit from the platform's features.

Hot Giggity has been set up in a similar way to Facebook.

Your Hot Gigigty Personal Profile is like your personal Facebook profile.

Your Hot Giggity Act Profile is similar to your Facebook page for your act / band.

Your Personal (Artist/Entertainer) Profile.

Your Entertainer Profile is focused on you as an individual performer or freelancer.  As a performer, you can be invited to be a member of another person's act on the platform.

If you're an entertainer who performs with other bands or groups and doesn't require direct bookings from agents, venues, or private hirers, you can simply set up your Entertainer / Artist Profile.

Your Act Profile

Think of your Act Profile as your band or act's Facebook page - be that solo, duo, full band etc.  The act is the entity that gets booked by hirers. You can have as many act profiles on the platform as you like.

As the act owner, you can invite your players to your act, allowing you to invite them to gigs and receive automated invoices from them for booked gigs.

If you are an artist who is directly booked by agents, venues, or private hirers, you must set up both a Personal Profile and an Act Profile

1. Setting Up Your Personal Profile

To Sign up, go to https://get.hotgiggity.com/sign-up.  Enter the required details, accept the terms and conditions and click SIGN UP.

You will then receive an email to confirm your email address.  The email will come from no-reply@hotgiggity.com. Be sure to check your spam folder for this email.

Clicking 'Confirm My Email' will open a browser and take you to the 'Sign In' page.

You will then be prompted to choose your profile type.  Select Artist / Entertainer.

The system will then take you through the process of creating your Personal Profile.   This is all about you as an individual performer.

Feel free to add as much detail as you wish to your profile. However, to ensure you complete your Personal Profile, be sure to progress through to the Privacy section, and hit Save / Next.

2. Setting Up Your Act Profile

Once you've finished with your Personal Profile, you'll be guided through the process of creating your Act Profile. As mentioned earlier,  is is the Act Profile that is booked by hirers (Agents, Venues & Private Hirers).

If you are an entertainer that performs in other people's acts, you can skip this step.

For solo artists, selecting 'Create Solo Act' will automatically generate a Solo Act profile, importing all the details from your Personal Profile for convenience.

If needed, you now have the opportunity to refine specific details of this Act. This might include updating the Act Name, revising the bio, altering the profile design, changing pictures, and more.

Once you have completed the Act Profile, you can view your act(s) by clicking on Manage / My Acts.

To view your public act profile, click on the act name:

3. Creating Additional Acts

You can create as many acts as you require - solo, duo,4 piece - up to a 99 piece band!

The quickest way to do this is by clicking 'Duplicate'.   You will be shown a popup to confirm.

Clicking Duplicate will then copy all details from this act to a new act: Copy of {Act Name}. You can now update the Line-up, Act Name and all details for this act.
